Maersk promotes Wetherell to fill new role

Maersk has promoted its regional head of airfreight North America John Wetherell to global head of airfreight forwarding, a new role that "creates a defined focus on leadership of Maersk’s airfreight forwarding business", the firm says.

Wetherell has been at Maersk for more than two years and previously was svp airfreight North America at Ceva Logistics and vp global air product at Uti Worldwide before that.

His vacated position goes to Brent Mayhew, currently Maersk’s head of air freight operations and client experience North America.
