Virgin Atlantic Cargo says it is delighted with its support from freight forwarders in Mumbai after resuming the Indian route in October last year after a three-year absence.
Singapore Airlines recorded 0.8 per cent year-on-year growth in April 2013 in system-wide passenger carriage (measured in revenue passenger kilometres), while capacity (measured in available seat kilometres) grew by 3.2 per cent. As a result, passenger load factor (PLF) fell 1.9 percentage points to 77.8 per cent. The number of passengers carried increased by 1.1 per cent year-on-year to 1.5 million.
Moves by the Australian government to restructure the Import Processing Charge (IPC) to recover the costs of all import-related cargo and trade functions undertaken by the Customs and Border Protection Service have been slammed by advocacy body Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA).
