Qatar inks SITA deal

Qatar Airways, Qatar's national carrier, has inked a three-year communications deal with SITA.

The carrier's ceo, Akbar Al Baker said: "Over the next three years our fleet will expand from over 80 aircraft today to 120, including the Boeing 787. This growth needs to be supported by a partner who is leading the way when it comes to use of satellite and ground communications between the cockpit and the control tower."
